Job Description

The Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel is seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Sales Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success.

This would be a full-time, salaried, commission-based position.

Requirements

Position Overview:

The Business Development Sales Manager will be responsible for growing and developing new guest room sales and food and beverage business, driving revenue growth and expanding the hotel's market.

This position will involve actively soliciting new business opportunities, building strong relationships with guests, and developing strategic partnerships within the hospitality and tourism sectors.

The successful candidate will lead sales initiatives, create compelling proposals, and negotiate contracts to secure new business and engage in proactive sales efforts to attract new clients and promote Bridgewood’s offerings. Ultimately, this role aims to enhance the hotel's profitability and reputation as a premier destination for guests.

Key Responsibilities:
(This is a general guideline; additional duties may be assigned).

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets by expanding guest room sales and food & beverage business.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and attend industry events.
  • Promote the hotel and food & beverage facilities to secure sales and build and maintain long-term client relationships.

Build and maintain strong relationships with guests and partners.

  • Respond promptly to phone and digital inquiries and proactively conduct sales calls to prospective clients.
  • Promote the hotel and food & beverage facilities to secure sales and build long-term client relationships.
  • Work closely with the Director of Weddings & Events, Sales Manager(s) or Admins, Director of Hotel Operations, Front Desk Manager, Food & Beverage Director, Director of Convention Services, and Executive Chef.
  • Ensure seamless communication and coordination of client information, special requests, and client needs to deliver successful events and guest experiences.
  • Actively participate in local organizations that promote the resort, such as the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau, MPI, and other relevant groups.
  • Engage on social platforms like Eventective, LinkedIn, and hotel/catering websites.
  • Collaborate on marketing priorities and initiatives to support sales department goals.
  • Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars for personal growth and hotel promotion.
  • Participate in department head meetings and other required meetings and functions.
  • Assist with other duties or special projects as directed by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Involvement in community organizations and industry-related groups is a plus.
